We hope that Congress will act swiftly to do the right thing and continue to offer protections to Dreamers. We have heard some encouraging words from immigration attorneys and others, and as many of you have already seen, there has been widespread condemnation of the administration’s action.
We know that the Trump administration’s announcement to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program directly affects many of you, your family members, colleagues and neighbors. 9,000 Marylanders could be impacted by Trump’s decision to rescind DACA protections.
While we and many others are monitoring this situation very closely, there are several resources you may find helpful:
