NBC News 4 and Telemundo 44 interviewed Identity staff as part of an investigation of the fentanyl crisis that has devastated youth and families in the region, including the unique toll on the Latino community. Because of Identity’s deep connection to the community and their concerns, Montgomery County is supporting our Substance Use Prevention and Intervention pilot program focused on particularly impacted neighborhoods in Aspen Hill, Glenmont, and Wheaton, especially supporting middle- and high-school Latino youth and their parents. Program Director Nora Morales and Program Manager Jonathan Henriquez-Lara were interviewed as part of NBC4 and Telemundo 44’s five-part series “Fighting fentanyl: What this powerful drug is taking from DC-area families.”
