Current Openings

Identity, a nonprofit community-based organization serving youth and their families, is seeking a full-time Career Navigator/Case Manager for our youth and young-adult students. This position is located at our Crossroads Youth Opportunity Center in Takoma Park, MD. The Career Navigator/Case Manager works to connect vulnerable youth and young adults to education and/or stable employment and wrap-around services. They will work with participants to assess personal strengths, navigate educational and workforce options, and develop individualized plans to achieve educational goals, develop work readiness competencies, find work-based experiences, and secure and maintain gainful employment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field
  • 1-3 years experience as a career navigator or case manager or working with out of school at-risk youth ages 16-25
  • Knowledge of adolescent psychology (including Stages of Change and developmental stages), Positive Youth Development Model, motivational interviewing and counseling
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish required

Identity, a nonprofit community-based organization serving youth and their families, is seeking a full-time Parent Outreach Worker.  This position is located at our Up County Youth Opportunity Center in Gaithersburg, MD. The Parent Outreach Worker assesses parents’ and families’ needs and concerns. Responsibilities include completing needs assessments, follow-up surveys, and action plans; case management services. Plans and implements monthly parent meetings and maintains records.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with others while upholding strong customer orientation
  • Must be able to work a flexible forty (40) hour work week including evenings and weekends

Identity, a nonprofit community-based organization serving youth and their families, is seeking a full-time Bilingual Mental Health Therapist for our young-adult students. This position is located at our Crossroads Youth Opportunity Center in Takoma Park, MD. The Mental Health Therapist performs a full range of clinical services including client assessment, development of treatment plans, individual and family counseling, and maintenance of client records.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling, required
  • Knowledge of and experience in assessment, crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, trauma-focused service delivery
  • 3-5 years of experience working with diverse populations, specifically at-risk Latino and African-American youth and families
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish required
