Identity’s staff and board are as committed as ever to our founding vision of a just and equitable society that nurtures all youth and is enriched by their contributions.
We offer engaging, culturally competent after-school support to students who have interrupted education or who are at risk of falling behind.
Social & Emotional Learning
SEL is at the core of all we do, helping youth learn self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
Job Readiness & Workforce Development
We equip our program participants with the competencies, tools, and resources they need to succeed in today’s job market and grow professionally.
We’re building a stronger Montgomery County by responding to the needs of the county’s growing Latino population. Identity’s primary focus is on assisting in-school and out-of-school Latino youth and their families who live in high poverty areas of Montgomery County and are most at-risk for poor academic and economic life outcomes.
Latino youth are the bedrock of our community’s future – but many of them face tremendous challenges that severely limit their options and opportunities. At the same time, these youth bring many strengths: love of family, pride in their culture, an eagerness to succeed, and an impressive resilience to forge ahead in spite of the hardships they have endured.
We empower Latino youth to reach their full potential and work towards a successful transition into adulthood. We invite you to explore the stories of just a few of the youth we have been privileged to serve. These stories show how determined Identity youth are to overcome challenges and create a better future for themselves and their community.
