MCAS Program Facilitator

Identity is seeking a full-time Program Facilitator to plan, coordinate, and implement curriculum- and school-based programs using the Positive Youth Development Model. The Program Facilitator will help deliver virtual programming, and then may shift to in-person facilitation with social distancing and safety procedures in place, as determined by federal, state, and local authorities. Program Facilitators must be available to deliver emergency assistance in person; as needed. Responsibilities include identifying client needs and providing ongoing support. Communicates and serves as primary liaison with partner agencies and supports supervisor in preparing narrative and quantitative reports.

Caseworker

Identity Caseworkers will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, and results oriented team to provide wraparound services, resources, and information to clients. Caseworkers will assess client needs and develops an action plan to provide case management. Responsibilities include: maintaining detailed documentation for each client, completing needs assessments, develop action plans to provide referrals for food and housing assistance, apply for county services, provide information how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and/or make appointments for COVID-19 testing services, and provides follow-up surveys. This is a temporary position through the end of 2020.

Recreation Assistant (Part-time)

Identity is seeking a part-time recreation assistant to help provide coaching and support to Identity’s Recreation Program. The recreation assistant will help deliver in-person and virtual programming to cohorts of 20-25 students, and depending on pandemic, may shift to in-person facilitation with social distancing and safety procedures in place. Responsibilities include planning, coordination, and implementation of Identity’s after school organized sports programs for high-risk, underserved youth in middle school and high school residing in Montgomery County, Maryland. This position is a contractual position for 30-hours a week through June 30, 2021.

Identity is seeking a full-time Middle School Facilitator for a contractual project with Montgomery County Public Schools at two middle schools in the Germantown/Gaithersburg area. The Program Facilitator will help deliver virtual programming to 20, Level 1 and Level 2 ESOL students at two MCPS middle schools from October 2020-December 31st, and then, depending on pandemic may shift to in-person facilitation with social distancing and safety procedures in place, through March 31, 2021. Responsibilities include: preparation and delivery of sessions, data entry, filing, family engagement and case management, and undertaking other administrative work as necessary. This position is a six month, temporary contractual position.

Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist

Identity seeks a Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to perform transactional and routine bookkeeping and other accounting responsibilities related to accounts payable, credit cards and payroll under the supervision of the Director of Finance. The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Responsibilities include the following tasks: clerical and technical such as verifying, reviewing, and reconciling expense reports/ bills; and posting and documenting financial transactions.

Contract Positions

Identity is seeking a Bilingual ESOL Instructor for our young adult students. Classes are held at the Youth Opportunity Centers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. However, due to COVID-19, classes are virtual temporarily. We need an instructor to provide up to 8 hours weekly (hours vary Tuesday through Friday from 2-6 pm). The Bilingual ESOL Instructor who will be responsible for planning and delivering ESOL instruction/ tutoring with the goal of helping youth pass from beginner level to intermediate to higher level. This is a professional part-time position with opportunities to innovate, grow and advance. The ESOL program is a key element of Workforce 2020, Identity’s workforce development program for disconnected youth up to age 25. Our goal is to support these young people in their transition to adulthood, helping them move closer to acquiring the skills and experiences necessary to secure steady employment and be on a path toward self-sufficiency. All of our work is grounded in the Positive Youth Development model, supported by intensive family case management and counseling.
