Identity is seeking a full-time Program Facilitator to plan, coordinate, and implement curriculum- and school-based programs using the Positive Youth Development Model. The Program Facilitator will help deliver virtual programming, and then may shift to in-person facilitation with social distancing and safety procedures in place, as determined by federal, state, and local authorities. Program Facilitators must be available to deliver emergency assistance in person as needed. Responsibilities include identifying client needs and providing ongoing support. Communicates and serves as primary liaison with partner agencies and supports supervisor in preparing narrative and quantitative reports.

Identity is seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) Spanish & English GED Instructor for our young-adult students. Classes are held at the Up-County Youth Opportunity Center in Gaithersburg, MD. Please note, position is temporarily remote. The Spanish & English GED Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering both English and Spanish GED instruction/ tutoring with the goal of helping youth pass the GED exam.

Identity is seeking a full-time recreation assistant to help provide coaching and support to Identity’s Recreation Program. The recreation assistant will help deliver virtual programming to cohorts of 10-15 students, and depending on pandemic, may shift to in-person facilitation with social distancing and safety procedures in place. Responsibilities include planning, coordination, and implementation of Identity’s after school organized sports programs for high-risk, underserved youth in middle school and high school residing in Montgomery County, Maryland. This position is 40-hr a week, on a flexible schedule as some recreation sessions are held in the evenings and weekends.

Services provided by the Trauma-Informed Specialist will include planning, coordinating, and implementing culturally competent, non-clinical, trauma-informed healing programs for youth and families with complex trauma as COVID-19 compounds their pre-existing economic vulnerability, language isolation, anti-immigrant fears and unaddressed prior Adverse Childhood Experiences and other traumas (such as from family separations). Services provided by the Youth Development Specialist will include planning, coordinating and implementing curriculum-based programs using the Positive Youth Development Model as the theoretical basis for programming; working with youth and their families to identify critical needs; making referrals to social services; and providing ongoing support and mentoring. Responsibilities include working with the Wellness Center staff team to establish and maintain strong collaboration with school partners to facilitate the referral of students to Wellness Center programs and services.
