Making sure everyone is counted in the 2020 Census is essential because Census data helps determine funding for public and social-service programs. The U.S. Census Bureau recently announced it will conclude its counting efforts a month earlier than originally planned – on September 30 rather than October 31 – making it even more important to get the word out and make sure that everyone in the community completes the Census as soon as possible.
To help support our community in being counted, Identity has created a web page of Census 2020 resources in English and Spanish, including Spanish-language videos explaning how to complete the Census online or by phone, links to fill the Census out online in Spanish or English, and numbers to call for assistance.
Our Census support team is spreading the word in the community and working with other organizations to reach as many households as possible, as well as providing one-on-one assistance.
This work is supported by grants from the State of Maryland, The Greater Washington Community Foundation, and The Crimsonbridge Foundation.
